Then & Now

Our property started as a farm in the mid 1800's when William Haas and Henrietta Jung immigrated here from Germany. The couple married in 1876 and farmed more than 1,400 acres together. Hawes Farms was established in 1863, and now 6 generations later we are still farming the land.

Two years ago, we decided to open our beautiful property to the public. We knew that nobody could offer such a unique opportunity to exchange vows while surrounded by mountains, right along the river. Thanks to our farming background we also have elegant orchards and a well-maintained property. We hope we can share a little bit of our historical agricultural land with you when you choose to host your wedding or outdoor event at Hawes Acres.
